So when Alex Ferrari made the Top 100 of Steven Speilberg’s “On the Lot” and they asked him to create a short film in 6 days, Cyn was born. Done for under $1000, Cyn brings together an amazing group of talented people. Without these remarkably talented friends CYN would have never been able to made with out them.
This short film by Alex Ferrari is fantastically shot and posted. CYN overall story of an imprisoned girl turning the table on her captors seemed a little rushed, which on a 6 day schedule can not be faulted too much on. The character acting was a little rough around the edges but the everyone played their parts convincingly enough to sell the suspense.
The look and ambience of the film is credited to how it was shot, on the Panasonic HVX200 in 720p directly to four 8 gig P2 cards, What?! Alex no Firestore FS-4Pro HD direct storage system that week? The result was time saved in workflow and kept the quality of the film high in such a short time by giving more time back to the post production team.
